About Price at the Pump
Last updated October 2026
Price at the Pump shows petrol and diesel prices at forecourts near you on a map, so you can see the cheapest fuel nearby before you set off. It's free, needs no account and works on any phone or computer.
Where the prices come from
UK fuel retailers report their prices to the GOV.UK Fuel Finder scheme. We collect those prices regularly and show them as they were reported. The data contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Prices can change during the day, and a forecourt's latest price may not have reached the scheme yet. Each station shows when its price was last updated. Always check the price at the pump.
How it works
- Search a postcode, use your location, or move the map and tap Search this area.
- We look within 5 miles first. If there are no forecourts, we widen the search to 10 and then 25 miles. You can also set the distance yourself.
- The cheapest forecourt for your chosen fuel is highlighted, and every price is colour-coded on the map.
- UK average prices cover open forecourts whose price has been updated in the last 7 days, so you can see how local prices compare.
Use it like an app

Who runs it
Price at the Pump is run by Postcode Energy Ltd, the team behind Postcode Energy. It uses the same fuel price data as Postcode Energy.
